PGPBA at IGTC - The corporate way to management excellence!

Training, based on German Dual System of practical and theoretical learning, has been one of the key roles and services of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce abroad (AHKs).  In order to extend this service to its member companies in India and provide them a common training platform, the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce established the Indo-German Training Centre, Mumbai (in 1991),Chennai (in 2005) and Bangalore (in 2008).

All the Indo-German Training Centres function in close collaboration with the partnering member companies like BASF, Bajaj Allianz, Bayer, Bosch, Deutsche Bank, Hella Electronics, Lanxess, Mercedes Benz, Siemens, Volkswagen among many others  to periodically assess and understand their training needs, and to provide training solutions through –

For the first time in India, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany awarded a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding achievements of two Indians trained by the unique German Dual Education System. The recipients were a student and an alumnus of the Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC).

 

On behalf of the BMBF, H.E. Michael Steiner, German Ambassador to India handed out the awards to Mr. Ashwin Jayaraman (Topper, IGTC Batch 2011-2013) and Ms. Sushmita Datta, Business Unit Head of High Performance Materials, Lanxess (I) Pvt. Ltd. (IGTC Alumni Batch 2000-2002) at the 20th Convocation Ceremony of the Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC) on 18th March 2013.

With the completion of the Batch of 2011 – 2013, IGTC achieved a significant milestone with the 1000th trainee graduating across all training centers in India.  The 1000th trainee was chosen through a lucky draw.  Ms. Dhanyashree Thykatil from IGTC Mumbai was declared as the recipient of this special title and was presented with a special plaque that commemorates this milestone by H.E. Michael Steiner, German Ambassador to India at the 20th Convocation Ceremony of the Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC) on 18th March 2013.
