GIZ has conceptualized the Skill Development and Dual VET Tour – an active study tour involving multiple stakeholders such as a vocational training center, industry associations in the skilled crafts, an electric vehicle charging infrastructure manufacturer and an electricity distribution utility adopting charging infrastructure, among others.

The Indo German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) and the German International Development Cooperation (GIZ)  invite you to the join a special Study Tour and Workshop to Germany for Understanding Dual VET and Skilled Workforce Development - A German perspective from the 1^st -9^th of June, 2019.

“Skill India” is a national mission initiated by the Government of India with the objective to rapidly implement and scale up skill development efforts across India. The target is to provide the institutional capacity to train a minimum of 300 million skilled people by the year 2022. To meet the demand for qualified work force, the access to and quality of formal vocational training needs to be improved. Addressing the skilled workforce development is a vital prerequisite to ensure the economic growth in India.

The training in the energy sector needs to encompass practical qualifications like installation, operation and maintenance of technical components, but also qualifications in related fields of work. To encourage the integration of sustainable concepts in the industrial sector for instance, training concepts must integrate efficient corporate energy management. Since India is not only facing upscaling of renewable power capacity but also the transition from combustion engine-based to electric mobility, competencies in the creation and management of charging infrastructure and its integration into the power grid need to be included in training and upskilling curricula.

Objective for the Study Tour

Under the aforementioned project, GIZ has conceptualized the Skill Development and Dual VET Tour – an active study tour involving multiple stakeholders such as a vocational training center, industry associations in the skilled crafts, an electric vehicle production site and an electricity distribution utility adopting charging infrastructure, among others. The aim is to facilitate knowledge exchange on cross-cutting topics of vocational training especially in the energy sector combined with sustainable energy management and e-mobility amongst the people at the forefront of the transformation of the energy system and transport in India and Germany. The concept and experiences of dual vocational education and training in Germany and the skills development in conjunction with economic and social partners will be explored and discussed on various levels.                                                   

The cost of the delegation subsidised package Rs.135000 /- Plus 18% GST. (Rupees One lac thirty five thousand plus eighteen percent GST )  

The cost will include:

·         Assistance in business visa invitation letter from German

·         Health insurance ( no of days if the delegation program )

·         Pick up and drop off from airport to hotel (in Germany)

·         4/3 star hotel for  8 nights, single occupancy

·         Briefing of delegation

·         All visit and meeting( program attached)

·         All transfers during the study to in Germany 

·         Guided Tour of Berlin /Leipzig / Erfurt

·         All Meals (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)
