The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), founded in 1956, is the largest German bilateral chamber of commerce worldwide. As one of the three official pillars of German Economic Cooperation in India—alongside the German Embassy and Germany Trade & Invest—IGCC represents German industry and economic initiatives in India.

With offices in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Düsseldorf (Germany), IGCC supports over 2,500 member companies from both countries. As part of the global network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs), spanning more than 150 offices in 92 countries, IGCC provides services in market entry, policy advocacy, trade fairs, networking and more.

  • Market Entry and Company Formation
  • Vocational and Management Training
  • HR Recruitment and Executive Search
  • Business Delegations and Networking Events
  • Sustainability and Compliance Services

    And much more!

Our goal is to promote Indo-German business ties and foster sustainable, long-term partnerships.

The AHKs and IHKs Network

AHKs are in all countries that are of special interest to German companies. AHKs are closely connected to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) in Germany. Together, they support German companies with building up and extending their business relations to foreign countries. The umbrella organization of the IHKs is the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), which also coordinates and supports the AHKs. Furthermore, the cooperation with various German trade associations strengthens the link from AHKs to business and markets. The AHKs are supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.
