Official Side Session at WCEF 2026: Indo-German Business Partnerships for Scaling Global Circularity

How can German and Indian companies leverage their complementary strengths to advance the circular economy – and turn them into concrete and scalable business partnerships? This is what we will explore on 17 September 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Gandhinagar, in a session jointly organised by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and the Agency for Business and Economic Development (AWE).

Germany brings expertise in recycling and sorting technologies, resource-efficient production, material traceability and circular design, while India offers significant manufacturing capacity, dynamic markets and expanding recycling structures. Together with German and Indian companies, manufacturers, investors and other stakeholders, we will discuss what it takes to build successful Indo-German circular economy partnerships – from technology transfer, joint ventures and pilot projects to local manufacturing, supply-chain collaboration and sustainable finance.

The session is an official side session of the World Circular Economy Forum 2026 and takes place in the broader context of the India-Germany Green and Sustainable Development Partnership (GSDP) and 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany.
