Regulatory Compliance Workshop | 19 August 2026
IGCC hosted a Functional Workshop on Regulatory Compliance in Pune, themed "Regulatory Leadership in an Era of AI, Data Privacy & Corporate Accountability." The session was hosted by RÖDL India and led and moderated by Rushak Tadkalkar, Partner and Head of Commercial Compliance & Regulatory Advisory, along with Vivek Balakrishnan, Principal Associate and Head of Data & Tech Advisory, both of RÖDL India.
Key themes included responsible AI and AI governance, the DPDP Act, consent and data processing, data localisation and cross-border transfers, data privacy and cybersecurity risks, governance frameworks and regulatory readiness, and leadership perspectives on compliance and accountability. A highlight of the session was an interactive scenario-based exercise, in which participants worked in groups to develop practical action plans for real-world regulatory challenges, moving the discussion from what the regulation requires to what organisations would actually do in practice.
Marketing & Communication Leaders Workshop | 30 July 2026
The 2nd IGCC Functional Workshop for Marketing & Communication Leaders in Pune was held under the theme "Why Customers Say Yes: B2B Content Influence Strategy." The afternoon began with a facility tour at TRUMPF India, followed by a workshop facilitated by Suhasini Kirloskar exploring how B2B organisations build content that establishes trust, influences buying decisions, and delivers measurable outcomes.
Key themes included what drives B2B buying decisions, aligning content strategy with business goals, creating content that attracts and converts, leveraging AI in content research and optimisation, maximising the impact of social media, email marketing, SEO and lead nurturing, and measuring content influence through practical frameworks.

Sustainability Functional Workshop | 4 August 2026
IGCC Mumbai hosted its inaugural Sustainability Functional Workshop, facilitated by Martha Scheifel, Integrated Expert for GIZ/AWE and Senior Coordinator, SustainMarkets, IGCC. The interactive session mapped the sustainability landscape across the Indo-German business community and identified common challenges and opportunities for peer learning.
Key takeaways included the growing complexity of European and Indian regulation, sustainability's evolution into a strategic business priority beyond compliance, the need for cross-functional and cross-organisational collaboration, the ongoing challenge of translating ambition into implementation (particularly in reporting, supply chain engagement, governance, and workforce capability), and the value of peer benchmarking. Priority themes identified for future sessions included ESG reporting, supply chain sustainability, decarbonisation, circular economy, and social sustainability. Breakout discussions on Social Sustainability, Environmental Sustainability, and Collaboration for Impact were anchored by Natasha Majumdar, Radhakrishna Gunti, and Sunita Sule respectively.

IGCC Mumbai's inaugural Functional Workshop for Marketing & Communications professionals was held at the Indo-German Training Centre, moderated by Indu Sharma, VP Communications at Siemens Limited India. With over 20 participating companies, it marked the group's largest turnout to date.
Discussions centred on building trust and a clear brand narrative, staying visible and relevant amid a changing digital landscape (including the growing role of AI, online communities and reviews in shaping perception), measuring the real business contribution of Marketing & Communications beyond visibility and engagement metrics, and building the broader skill sets the function now requires. Areas identified for future sessions included marketing strategy and budgets, reputation and advocacy, practical AI tools, analytics and KPIs, future skills, and intercultural communications.

HR & Compliance Workshop: Navigating Labour Code Compliance | 19 August 2026
IGCC Chennai brought together HR and Compliance leaders from member companies for a workshop on India's New Labour Codes, hosted by Witzenmann India Pvt. Ltd. The session opened with an address by Karthic Balasubramanian (BSK), Managing Director of Witzenmann India, followed by a technical session from CA Meena Narayanan of Sharp & Tannan Group. Seventeen IGCC member companies participated, with HR Heads, Payroll Specialists, and Compliance professionals in attendance.
Key takeaways included wage definition restructuring as the foundation of Labour Code readiness, significant operational changes required to payroll timelines and settlement processes, contract labour and inter-state migrant worker compliance as critical focus areas, the value of peer benchmarking given state-level implementation ambiguities, and a broader shift in framing Labour Code readiness as a strategic business priority rather than a purely compliance-driven exercise.

IGCC hosted its inaugural Sustainability Functional Workshop at the Lufthansa Technik office in Bengaluru, moderated and hosted by Anupama M and Lufthansa Technik, with the Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) serving as Knowledge Partner. The session explored building a common purpose and vision, understanding the evolving regulatory landscape, innovation as an enabler of sustainability, collaboration across the ecosystem, and moving from dialogue to action.

The 2nd IGCC CFO Functional Workshop brought together Finance leaders from the Indo-German business community for a morning of peer learning on Finance's evolution from traditional stewardship to a strategic driver of business transformation.
Discussions covered AI adoption and practical use cases in Finance, finance transformation through automation, governance and ROI measurement, new-age finance operating models and evolving cost structures, government incentive strategies and negotiation approaches, and collaborative roundtable discussions on real-world experiences and best practices.
