The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome a student delegation from the BayIND Summer School, organised by the Bavarian-Indian Centre for Business and University Cooperation, led by Olga Schloss, to our Mumbai office.
Students from various Bavarian universities gained insights into India, Indo-German economic relations and the work of the IGCC.
Jan Noether, Director General, IGCC, warmly welcomed the delegation and shared perspectives on current Indo-German trade relations, the India–EU Free Trade Agreement and upcoming business delegation activities in India.
The programme featured contributions from:
- Radhieka Mehta, Regional Director, IGCC – the Chamber's activities in Maharashtra and Gujarat and the Indo-German Training Centre.
- Tom R. , Director – DE International Services, on IGCC's services for German and Indian companies, supporting market entry and business development in India and Germany.
- Martha Scheifel, Senior Coordinator Sustainability, – IGCC SustainMarkets, sustainable business practices and HREDD, alongside her work as an Integrated Expert for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH/Agentur für Wirtschaft und Entwicklung
- Constantin Knuhr, Graduate Talent Programme, DIHK – training and career opportunities across the DIHK/German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) Global Network. Currently on a three-month placement at IGCC Mumbai, Constantin is completing a one-year programme across four positions and four locations, gaining experience at two IHKs, DIHK and an AHK.
The visit highlighted the importance of education, exchange and personal connections in strengthening Indo-German relations.
