The second season of the Indo-German Cricket League (IGCL), hosted by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) in collaboration with Rödl & Partner, took place on 13th & 14th June 2025 at Pro Turf, Pune. The event brought together 18 member companies, turning the cricket ground into a vibrant showcase of collaboration, competition, and community.
Despite the scorching summer heat and untimely monsoon showers, the enthusiasm of the participants never wavered. The matches were played with remarkable sportsmanship, and the spirit of unity and inclusion remained at the heart of it all—each team proudly fielded at least one female player, promoting diversity across the pitch.

Day 1 began with excitement as teams played two league matches each. While rain interrupted play by late afternoon, most of the scheduled matches were successfully completed—setting the stage for a thrilling Day 2.
On Day 2, the competition intensified. Teams returned to the field with renewed vigor and determination. Teams once again went head-to-head to determine the four semi-finalists Four teams— Bericap India Pvt. Ltd., WIKA Instruments India Pvt. Ltd., Rödl & Partner, and Webasto Roofsystems India Pvt.—emerged as semi-finalists after a series of gripping matches. Teams such as Bosch Global Software, Pilz India Pvt. Ltd , VULKAN Technologies and Catenon APAC, put up notable performances and narrowly missed the knockout rounds, showcasing outstanding teamwork and skill throughout the tournament.
In the final match, Webasto Roofsystems India Pvt. Ltd. clashed with WIKA Instruments India Pvt. Ltd. in an edge-of-the-seat encounter. Webasto emerged victorious, taking home the IGCL 2025 Champions Trophy, while WIKA proudly claimed the runners-up title.
Adding to the excitement, a friendly leadership match featuring senior leaders from partner companies was held, blending sport and leadership in an inspiring display of camaraderie.
The awards ceremony was led by Mr. Kalpesh Saraf (Western Regional Director, IGCC) and Mr. Rahul Oza (Partner/Director, Rödl & Partner). They honored all participating teams, presented the “Man of the Match” awards, and handed over the championship trophy to the winning team. Participation certificates were distributed to all CEOs, MDs, and senior leaders in attendance.
The IGCL 2025 was not just a cricket tournament—it was a celebration of partnership, diversity, and team spirit.
