The 16th edition of the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) 2025 took place from 15-17 October 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. IREE is the world’s second largest railway mobility show and is an important platform for innovation, partnership, and trade in the railway industry.
More than 50 German companies participated at IREE 2025 via the German Group participation by Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), the official German Pavilion and also independent participants - showcasing German technology and forging key partnerships within the Indian railway market.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Philipp Ackermann, Ambassador, German Embassy inaugurated the German Pavilion and interacted with the exhibiting companies. The networking evening provided an opportunity to meet with representatives from the German Embassy, VDB- German Railway Industry Association, Indian Railways, IGCC, Metro etc.
Shivani Chaturvedi, Regional Director, represented IGCC at the ‘Indo-German Industry Roundtable on Urban Rail’ organised by GIZ, KFW, Deutsche Bahn and CII. This high-level discussion focused on the future of urban mobility in India, exploring collaborative opportunities, technological transfer, and sustainable solutions for India’s rapidly expanding rail networks.
The Indo-German collaboration at IREE 2025 underscores the shared commitment of both nations to advance sustainable, innovative, and future-ready rail infrastructure.
