1. Description of the processing activity

The data protection information is provided in connection with your participation in the 'Hand in Hand for International Talents' project. The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) needs your data to be able to implement support services within the scope of a recruitment process, for the purpose of employment with companies and subsequent work in Germany.

4. Purposes and legal basis of processing

Your data is collected with the aim of organizing, implementing and supporting a recruitment process with companies in Germany. As part of the recruitment process, the IGCC only has access to the respective data that is collected in the context of the country's affiliation. The IGCC works together with other project partners, including: DIHK Service GmbH, IHKs, IHK FOSA, the BMWI as donor and subordinate to BAFA, the Federal Employment Agency and domestic cooperation partners. Your data will be processed on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The transfer of your personal data to Germany is based on your consent in accordance with. Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

 

Which data does the AHK process?

 

The following data is collected:

 

  • Title, family name, first name
  • Address
  • Communication details (e.g. telephone number, email address)
  • Gender, nationality, marital status, school certificate, participation in pre-vocational qualifications or basic vocational training, previous professional training
  • Professional qualification or other academic evidence
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Photo
  • Period of participation in the project
  • Result of the recruitment process.
5. Recipients or categories of recipients of the personal data

Your personal data will be transmitted to:

 

  • Employees within the IGCC who are involved in the project implementation and provide further support within the framework of the project to the ProRecognition team at the IGCC
  • Language service providers for the purposes of language acquisition
  • The Federal Employment Agency, for the purpose of comparing job requirements with the skills of skilled workers (matching procedure)
  • DIHK Service GmbH, as the sponsor of the Hand in Hand for International Talents project
  • Cooperation partners in Germany, such as local Chambers of Commerce (IHKs) and IHK FOSA, for further support in Germany
  • BMWi and BAFA, as donors, as well as service providers commissioned by them for project evaluation
  • Service providers responsible for the technical support of the project database, who have access to the data
     

In principle, the recipients only receive personal data if and insofar as necessary to initiate a recruitment and further support after starting employment.

6. Transfer of personal data to a third country (India)

Your data will be transmitted from Germany to India and back (see category 5).

7. Duration of storage of personal data

Your data collected in connection with project participation will be stored after processing for a maximum of five years after the end of the project. It can also be stored electronically.
 

8. Rights of the individual affected

According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:
 

  • If your personal data is processed, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
  • If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to correction (Art. 16 GDPR).
  • If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing as well as to object to processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 GDPR).
  • If you have consented to data processing or if there is a data processing contract and data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may have the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
  • If you make use of your above-mentioned rights, the IGCC will check whether the legal 
    requirements for this have been met.

9. Right of revocation after given consent

If you have consented to the processing by the IGCC by means of a corresponding 
declaration, you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. The legality of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.

10. Purpose of providing the data

The IGCC needs your data in order to properly initiate and support a placement process for taking up work in Germany in cooperation with domestic and foreign project partners. If you do not provide the required data, you will not be able to participate in the project or be provided further advice.
