Become a Training Partner

Conducting German dual training comes with many benefits and responsibilities for companies. To establish a successful German dual training program, companies should fulfil the following requirement

Competence in the targeted training profession:

To enable trainees to learn in a practice- and process-oriented manner, the training company should possess in-house competence for the targeted trade.

Suitable training venue(s):

A suitable training venue has an appropriate workplace for each trainee with all the machines, tools, and equipment needed in the course of the training. On top of this, it means that the training can be conducted at the training venue without compromising the quality of the regular work process.

Qualified trainers:

Successful trainers are personally and professionally qualified for imparting German dual training. This means that they not only possess the personal characteristics of a great trainer but also possess occupation and work pedagogical knowledge, skills and competencies.

Appropriate ratio of skilled staff to trainees:

Trainees should always have sufficient oversight. Besides the trainer-trainee ratio, the number of other skilled workers per trainee should be appropriate.

Suitable corporate culture:

German dual VET promotes critical thinking and process orientation. Thus, it works best in companies with flat hierarchies that encourage the participation of employees of all levels.
