Working with industry and experts in Germany and India, we analyse skill relevance, the harmonisation of theory and practical lessons, and trainee progress of the existing curriculum and advise on needed adjustments. 

German dual vocational training is a system of collaboration. Whether looking for a training institute for theory inputs, an industry partner for practical training, or another company to train apprentices in only certain skills or machines, we help find training organisations find the right partner. 

By assessing and certifying success factors of dual vocational training, such as equipment, infrastructure, and trainer qualification, we ensure that training venues are suitable for a particular trade, can achieve training goals, and stand out in the industry as a quality training provider. 

Training can only be as good as the trainers conducting it. Thus, we assess skill gaps for training staff and develop and implement customized technical and pedagogical trainings and coaching formats to capacitate trainers to plan, implement, and assess successful on-job training. 

When starting to train in the dual system, many trainers face the same challenges. However, the solutions they find to overcome these challenges vary from company to company. With our frequent trainer meets, we provide a platform for trainers to connect with peers, exchange experiences and find best practices in the field of vocational training. 

Once established, we register all apprentices and monitors training programmes to ensure the continued quality of the programs. As part of this, we visit training institutions and companies and review training logbooks. We also foster the exchange between all partnering parties to ensure continued alignment and enhancement of the training implementation. 

VET initiatives that follow the German dual system present apprentices with the challenge of a new education approach. In order to enable them to succeed, they need to understand what is expected of them and act differently than they are used to. For this reason, we conduct orientation sessions for new apprentices to facilitate their adjustment to the new learning culture. 

All examinations administered by IGCC follow a dual approach to test the holistic understanding of apprentices for their trade. Depending on the applicable quality category, we support in developing and approving examination questions or acquire and translate the original examination tasks from Germany. 

A smooth examination process guarantees fair evaluation. We coordinate examinations end to end by organising the participation of independent, qualified examiners, inviting eligible trainees to conduct the examination, coordination the safe delivery of examinations papers following secrecy guidelines, and administering the evaluation of examination. Upon passing, successful participants receive a quality-assured DIHK-IGCC or IGCC certificate with description of the achieved learnings and exam results.
