A) Special Events

·          Receptions for German Heads of State, Ministers and other dignitaries

The IGCC organizes receptions for visiting top-ranking statesmen and other V.I.Ps. Some of the receptions organized in the recent past were for the German Chancellor, German President, German Foreign Minister, Minister Presidents and Ministers of German States.

·          International Conferences

The Indo-German Chamber organizes large scale Indo-German conferences on a turn-key basis, which includes all aspects right from from planning to the execution.

e.g. the Asia Pacific Conference ( around 400 German companies) spanning a week and covering four to five Indian cities

e.g. the Mittelstandsforum, an initiative of the then German Economics late Minister Rexrodt, involving the visit of around 100 German small and medium sized companies to India for interaction and partnership meetings with Indian companies, related programme etc.

·          Exhibitions

Organization of specialized German Exhibitions is another activity of the Indo-German Chamber.

e.g. Exhibition on Analytical and Lab Equipment – made in Germany

The IGCC also organizes visitor participation to select Indian exhibitions and trade fairs.

·          Technology Symposia

Technology Symposia are events, where leading German companies in a particular sector make presentations on their products and innovations - simultaneously or one after the other - to Indian participants across cities.

VDW Technology Symposia and Baden-Wuerttemberg Technology Symposium are a couple of events organized recently by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

B) Regular Events

·          Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM is a major event for IGCC members. Around  700 to 1000 VIPs and members participate in this high profile event,  which includes a product display by member companies. This event generally has minister-level German as well as Indian Chief Guests (examples of past Chief Guests: German Economics Minister Michael Glos and Indian Minister Kamal Nath).

·          Founders’ Day Lecture

To celebrate the founding of the IGCC, a lecture by a prominent German speaker is organized in the first quarter of the year for members.

C) Corporate Events

The IGCC has organized events like Presentations, Seminars, Dinners, etc. for innumerable corporate clients. To name a few: TUI, Ernst & Young, Egon Zehnder, Deutsche Bank, Schuler etc.

D) Delegations (from Germany)

The events department is a “one point contact“ for organizing delegation visits in India. This includes: preparation of a tentative programme based on business interests of the delegation, its budget etc., preparation of cost estimate, booking hotel rooms, local transport, coordinating with IGCC branches and external agencies. Programmes could include pre-arranged partnership meetings (buyer-seller meets), company visits, seminars and presentations, receptions, media planning, press meets, reporting, accounting and billing etc. These services facilitate smooth and successful execution of the programme.

A few examples of successful past delegation visits include:

·Delegation from Bavaria led by Minister President Stoiber

·Delegations from Baden-Wuerttemberg, every year since 2004

·Delegation from the State of Hessen led by Minister President Koch

·Delegation from Hamburg led by Senator Gunnar Uldall & “Port of Hamburg” delegations

·Delegation from NRW led by Minister Christa Thoben
