Virtual Regional Roundtables On the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act
Introduction
The German Supply Chain Act Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz (LkSG) is set to be enforced in January 2023. The Act requires mandatory compliance for Human Rights Due Diligence for companies in Germany as well as potentially creating a sweeping impact on businesses in India.
The IGCC invites you to the Roundtable Series “Growing with Responsibility” that seeks to support the need of companies in their requirements for implementing due diligence processes for responsible business conduct as mandated by the LkSG while also ensuring long-term growth of companies.
Objectives
The Roundtables will be conducted across India and Germany with the objective to hear from companies who are potentially impacted by the law, either directly or indirectly. We would like to study what support companies require to implement corporate due diligence processes, with a specific focus on human rights and environmental issues, and share experiences they have had with existing internal and external support formats.
Roundtable Format
Discussions are limited to a maximum of 10 companies and are held under Chatham House Rule, to enable interactive and open conversation.
Focus group discussion will be conducted to explore companies ‘support needs to implement due diligence processes for responsible business conduct
