Hybrid Training on the German Supply Chain Due Diligence for Companies Operating in the Automotive Supply Chain

 

The German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act - Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz (LkSG) - is set to be enforced on 1 January 2023 for companies with over 3000 employees and will be applicable for companies with over 1000 employees on 1 January 2024. The Act will require mandatory compliance with human rights due diligence and environmental standards for companies headquartered in Germany and foreign-based companies of the same size with registered German branches. 

In cooperation with the Business Scouts for Development programme, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and closely partnering with amfori, IGCC SustainMarkets, invites applications from companies in the Indian automotive sector to be a part of an exclusive and sponsored hybrid training. 

About the Training 

The funded Human Rights Due Diligence Training is designed for Car Manufacturers, Components and Parts Manufacturers as well as Metal Suppliers to Automotive Companies that are looking to build their supply chain due diligence capacities and align those to the German legal standards. The exclusive and funded Training is conducted within 4 virtual sessions and 1 physical session. For the physical session, we will fly in an expert from Germany, Mr. Markus Löning, providing firsthand insights on Supply Chain Due Diligence and Human Rights standards.
