The Indo German Chamber of Commerce ( IGCC) in association with Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) and Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) would like to invite you to the Webinar on on Responsible Business Webinar on : Practitioners Guide to Business & Human Rights on Thursday 10th December 2020 at 12:00 noon(IST)
As part of a joint initiative, three partner organisations; FNF, CRB and IGCC, will work together to organize a series of quarterly webinars on a range of topics focussing on the different aspects of “Business and Human Rights” from a practitioners standpoint.
The series will also endeavour to build on the existing understanding of national frameworks that promote Business and Human Rights. These frameworks have not only informed, but also served as the basis for developing the impending National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.
The objectives for this session will be:
- understanding of the UN Guiding Principles (UNGP)on Business and Human Rights
- introduction to the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAPs)
- elaboration on the UN Guiding Principles (UNGP) – with special reference to Pillar 2
- alignment of India’s journey (incl. National Frameworks) with the substantive aspects of Pillar 2 of the UNGPs that
- directly relates to businesses
