IGCC SustainMarkets, in cooperation with Samhita-Collective Good Foundation is organising a webinar on the situation of industries and its workers in India during the current pandemic scenario.
Besides having immediate effects on business operations, the pandemic has created new cohorts of vulnerabilities to workers. Given the massive effects of the health crisis, as well as the Government of India’s response and the nation-wide lockdown, the webinar will provide insights on:
- How do the pandemic and lockdown affect businesses, especially manufacturing industries?
- What is the situation of workers, the most vulnerable group of the economy, in these sectors?
- How can companies support this group during such times?
The webinar will introduce the “Indian Workers’ Alliance”, an initiative established by Samhita-Collective Good Foundation in coordination with the Government of India and business experts. The initiative seeks to actively address the needs of blue-collar workers by providing immediate financial aid and unlocking beneficial government schemes and insurance products.
