We are pleased to share with you that Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) will organize a Virtual Workshop on 'The Face of the New Workplace' on Friday, 28th August 2020 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.
The aim of the workshop is to:
- Identify the challenges of the workplace today.
- Understand the impact of alternative work arrangements.
- Focus on organizational & individual initiatives in coping with this situation.
The topics of focus are:
- The myth of work from home, being the privilege of a few, is busted.
- We are getting adjusted to alternative work arrangements.
- Informal relationships have suffered, impacting both, the organization and the individual.
- Based on the above stressors, we try to answer how to manage teams effectively & reduce stressors to improve mental and physical health.
- Adjusting ways to take training sessions online.
- Finding out what is in control and what is not.
- Some success stories are to be shared.

Interactive Presentation on 'Work-Life Balance' by Dr. Meenu Sareen
Dr. Meenu Sareen is a psychologist with a specialization in Industrial Psychology from the I.P. College, New Delhi. She has been associated with our Executive Business Management Programme and Workshop on Sustainable Supply Chains at the IGCC, and teaches at many reputed B-Schools. She is also a sought after corporate trainer.
Presentation on 'Taking Training Workshops Online' by Mr. Arindam Chatterjee
Mr. Arindam Chatterjee (or “Chats” as he likes to be called) is a trainer with more than 25 years of experience in sales and behavioural training. His areas of expertise include Consultative Selling, Attitude and Motivation, Humour at Work as well as Coaching and Mentoring. He has also published a book on Alzheimer’s Patient Care.
Sharing experience I: Dr. Vendula Knopfova
Dr. Vendula Knopfova, is a Czech national and completed her PhD. Studies from Technical University Munich. She is the Managing Director of a global management company in India. A multilingual, Dr. Knopfova's areas of expertise include intercultural potential analysis and international leadership. Dr. Knopfova & her family presently live in Kolkata, where her husband works for a large German MNC.
Sharing experience II: Ms. Kakali Bagchi
Ms. Kakali Bagchi is the Vice Principal of Hariyana Vidya Mandir in Kolkata. She has M.Sc in Mathematics, M.Sc in Economics, B.Ed & PG diploma in School Management. Ms. Bagchi is a head examiner of mathematics, resource person for CBSE (trainer), and recipient of the National Award for Mathematics in 2019 by the Ministry of HRD and CBSE. She has more than 24 years of experience in her field and authored three books on mathematics.
