Faculty Profile: Arijit Chakraborty is a Commerce graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA in Finance. He is a qualified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the U.S.A and certified Concurrent Auditor of Banks. Additionally, he completed Management & Leadership Programme from Harvard University and trained as Aviation Operational safety auditor. In a career spanning 23 years, he has worked in managerial and leadership roles with the Big 5 Firms, handling diverse clients in India, US, Canada, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Singapore and Africa. In his professional capacity, he has advised companies on risk management, internal audit, information systems & cyber risk, business continuity, finance, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, 14001, 31000, ISO 22301, 6 Sigma, performance optimization and regulatory compliance. His industry experience includes - banking, insurance, power, auto, steel, logistics, civil aviation, agro, IT, telecom, ports, chemicals, heavy engineering, infrastructure etc. As a principal Consultant on several World Bank and ADB-funded projects, he has exposure in interacting with and advising mature enterprises and start-ups, inter alia, in implementing AI, IoT and intelligent automation. He has authored 9 publications, ranging from risk management, internal audit, asset impairment, valuation and martial arts. He has been a faculty and speaker on data analytics, AI, cyber security, risk management, data privacy etc. in professional bodies, chambers of commerce and academia. Arijit holds a 6th Degree Black Belt in Karate and qualified as a pilot in Airbus A320 fleet of Aircrafts.
