To bridge the gap between industry needs and the skills of People with Disabilities, the IGCC and CBM India organises the Virtual CEO Roundtable to find solutions on how we work together to encourage greater participation of PwDs in business activities.
A diverse and inclusive workplace is a supportive workplace that inspires its employees to take ownership and to contribute to the business growth of a company. To be able to create such a workplace, companies must have effective diversity programs and policies that must include dedicated support for people of disability.
Despite the individual and collective benefits of having people with disabilities (PwDs) in the workforce, the participation of PwDs in the workplace is still stunted. In India, only 3.4 million of the about 13.4 million PwDs in the employable age are employed.
Key Objectives:
The roundtable seek to explore the challenges face by PwDs in business context and find solutions on how and why corporates, the Chamber and other organisations can work together to increase PwDs participation in the workforce in India.
