The IHK Rheinhessen, the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce were invited to an India Event at the premises of the chamber in Mainz.
Mr. Kundel, Vice-President of the IHK welcomed around 65 participants and underlined the new role of India in the international environment. Dirk Matter, Director of IGCC, Düsseldorf, handed over a certificate to Mr. Kundel and Ms. Elvin Yilmaz, head of the foreign trade department of the IHK confirming that the IHK Rheinhessen is the 18th IHK India Desk of the IGCC in Germany.
Mr. Mubarak, Consul General of India, gave a lot of key data on India and the recent reforms and achievements of the Government of PM Modi. Mr. Matter highlighted the Indo-German Trade and Investment relations and gave some hints on how to do business in India successfully.
Ms. Boernemeier from the Ministry of Economics of Rhineland Palatinate explained briefly various support programmes of the state government. Dr. Ferk, CEO of KOB gave some insights into how to run a company in India successfully, KOB has a big manufacturing unit in Coimbatore. Ms. Maier as a representative of Munsch pumps joined the final panel discussion and reported on their export business to India.
Mr. Kundel Vice-President of the IHK and CEO of Renolit spoke on Joint Ventures as one possible form of cooperation with India. Every panellist unanimously acknowledged that India is increasingly becoming the focal point for German companies. The investors participating in the events expressed satisfaction with the profitability of their ventures in India. At the end of the panel discussion the moderator Mr. Matter invited everybody to attend the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business in Delhi, the end of October 2024 (www.asiapacificconference.com).
