Navigating the Indian Market: Highlights from IHK Black Forest's India Seminar

On 22 February, the IHK Black Forest invited the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce for an India Seminar at their modern premises in Villingen-Schwenningen.

Dirk Matter, Director of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Düsseldorf, gave a lecture on the growing importance of India for the German economy. He spoke on the political stability in the biggest democracy in the world, the high growth rates, and the attractive investment climate, but also on challenges like difficult compliance rules and the Indian bureaucracy.

Afterwards, Thomas Kern, Director of Automatic-Systems Dreher GmbH showed pictures and videos of his 30 business trips to India. This typical German Mittelstand company has an excellent sales partner in India and is supplying very modern equipment for automation and material handling to big Indian customers.

Both speakers emphasized the need for local expertise and good partners to be successful in the Indian market.
