The Pune Region of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) commenced its event calendar by hosting a CFO Meet: Priorities 2024, a breakfast networking morning at Sheraton, Pune on February 2, 2024. This event was proudly presented in collaboration with Trilegal as a Knowledge Partner, Roedl & Partner Consulting Pvt. Ltd. as a Consultant Partner, and Tangentia India Technologies Pvt Ltd as a Finance Tech Automation Partner.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Kalpesh Saraf, Western Region Director, IGCC, and inviting Komal Dani, Partner at Trilegal, Rohit Kumar S, Counsel Tax Practice at Trilegal, and Samyak Jain, Senior Associate at Trilegal for the first session. Trilegal provided insightful information on various topics including Budget 2024, Direct and Indirect Tax, and practical issues related to PLI Scheme, Customs, and GST.
The morning progressed to an insightful and informative panel discussion moderated by Rahul Oza, Partner/Director/Head of Practice - West and South India, Roedl & Partner Consulting Pvt. Ltd., featuring experienced CFOs from the industry, including Yogini Medehkar, CFO, FIBRO India Precision Products Pvt. Ltd., Vikas Gupta, CFO, Vitesco Technologies Pvt Ltd, and Raj Kumar Jha, CFO -Regional platform -APA , Country representative-India & MD of thyssenkrupp India Private Limited. The panel discussed the benefits and challenges of the Make in India policy, the evolving market of EMS (Electro Mobility Solutions), sustainability, measures towards carbon neutrality, and effective financial navigation in the Indian market.
The concluding presentation by Vijay Thomas, Founder & CEO, Tangentia India Technologies Pvt Ltd, emphasized the importance and need for Automation in the Finance Function. He touched upon use cases in corporate and finance functions, showcasing how automation improves departmental efficiency, accelerates business ROI, and positions CFOs as new leaders in digital transformation.
IGCC expressed gratitude to all partners and speakers with a token of appreciation—a certificate with a QR code. Upon scanning the code, recipients received a picture of a plant planted on their behalf, named after them, as a small effort to contribute to a greener planet.
