Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) hosted its second Regional Meeting in Pune on September 2nd 2022 at Taj Blue Diamond with its partner firms M+V Altios, Nexdigm SKP, and Hoffmann Quality Tools India Private Limited.
It was a thought-provoking event with the theme of "Sourcing Opportunities & Challenges in India". Over 70 business representatives from Indian and German businesses interacted and discussed opportunities and challenges in the Indian market.
In her welcome address, Ms. Marja-Sirkka Einig, Deputy Consul General of the German Consulate in Mumbai, covered a wide variety of topics of interest: the political scenario in Germany, bilateral relations between the two countries, the performance of the German industry in India, sustainability efforts and projects, skilling, and education etc
- Mr. Ruediger Schroeder (Senior Vice President, M+V Altios) began the evening with his presentation on the sourcing challenges faced by Indian and German businesses in India.
- Mr. Kartik Nagarajan shared his views on the Evolving Landscape of Sourcing in India, as Managing Director, Business Consulting & Global Business Services Sales, Nexdigm (erstwhile SKP).
- Mr. Manav Goel, Managing Director, Hoffmann Quality Tools India Private Limited shared his experience on the topic of sourcing as a subsidiary of a German company in India.
The evening was concluded by drinks and networking dinner. The event was a quite an insightful event for the industry representatives. IGCC constantly seeks to engage Indo-German business community and promote business opportunities between both the countries.
