In recent years, the IAA-India-Day has developed into a regular part of the Indo-German agenda and a meeting point for representatives from industry and politics. The tradition of the India-Day at the IAA is an expression of the close partnership between two countries that were expanded over recent years and are still extending. This strong partnership is based on the valuable work within the framework of the Indo-German Working Group on Automotive and an official partnership with the suppliers’ association ACMA and the manufacturers’ association SIAM.

This year, a new venue and a new concept for the International Automotive Show were represented. The new IAA Mobility 2021 will become an exhibition, a forward-looking mobility platform and a dialog forum all at the same time. In the scope of this new IAA, the 13^th IAA-India-Day will take place. Under the title “Empowering Indo-German Automotive Business – which framework is needed?”, the current status of the automotive industry in India and Indo-German cooperation will be presented and a high-level discussion on the needed future framework will be moderated by VDA and IGCC.
