NEW PUBLICATION
GERMAN INDIAN BUSINESS OUTLOOK 2021
In line with the Sustainable Development commitment, the IGCC recognised the challenges faced by companies in their efforts toward greater disability inclusion in the workplace. To support companies and play a greater part in the topic of Inclusion and Diversity, the IGCC started an initiative on Inclusive Workplace for People with Disabilities. This publication is one of the outcomes of the Initiative.
Companies in India have voiced the need for greater inclusion of persons with disabilities, however, they also face many challenges in their efforts to start and enlarge their disability inclusion practices. The publication seeks to address the challenges faced by Persons with Disabilities and Companies in India by focusing on understanding the present status of employment of Persons with Disabilities in India, the level of preparedness to promote inclusive employment practices in the workplace and find specific challenges which require attention with the aim of increasing the hiring of people with disabilities in India.
The publication concludes with a 6-step guide on how companies can overcome the challenges they face in their Inclusion Journey.
